Joanna Kijas-Parafińska
Joanna suffers from depression. She was last seen on Bogatki near Warsaw where she has a small plot of land. She told her friend she was on her way back to Warsaw and walked towards the bus stop. Nobody knows if she had caught the bus.
Zbigniew Anyszewski
Zbigniew is mentaly challanged and he was looked after by his sister. His neighbours often employed him to do some physical work. On July 4 a circus came to town, and Zbigniew was last seen helping putting up the circus tent.

Wladyslaw is suffereing from memory loss. He had been living with his sister since hif wife's death, but he would return to his flat regularly. Sometimes he would return to his sister's after a few days of wandering around. When his sister locked him up, he would escape through a window. Wladyslaw left home without money and documents.
Michał Bartnik
Michal left the house in the evening to see his friend. They parted around midnight, but Michal never came back home. He did have problems at school.
Grzegorz Bednarz
Grzegorz worked as a mechanic in the Provincial hospital in Gorzow Wielkopolski. He then lived at the hospital. He came back from home earlier that weekend to Gorzow. He was seen in the hospital on Monday, but he did not show up for work. After a while, his parents received a letter from him, informing them that he was going overseas and that he would be in touch with them soon, which he has not done yet.
Mariusz Belicki
He left his house on June 10. He was seen in Czestochowa a few times within a month, then he vanished.

Tadeusz left his property aroun one o'clock. He told his son and mother-in-law that he was going to have a nap. He was carrying no documents on the day of disappearance.

At that time, Wojtek's relationship with his father was very bad. He failed his school exams ( technical High School) and he was afraid to tell his father, thus decided to run away from home. His friends would see him often in the area of Jelenia Gora i Cieplice. His family had thought that when the holiday period was over he would come back home. It has been 17 years now, and Wojtek has not contacted his family.
Jadwiga Bielińska
Jadwiga left her house early in the morning without being noticed by anyone. She did not take any personal belongings with her nor money. She left four children /3 sons and a daughter/, and a husband. Intesive search did not bring any results. The sons and husband want to find their monther and wife.

Krzysztof went outside and disappeared. He left his ID and mobilel phone at home.

Cezary left home at 4 in the morning and has not been seen since. His parents claim that he was emotionally attached to his four year old daughter, and that he would never leave her. He was going through a divorce with his wife.
He had good opinion at work, and was well liked by his collegues. He did not drink or smoke.
Wojciech Bodzioch
Wojciech, influenced by his friend, went to Rome to work. He first worked in a circus and lived in his friend's house together with other Poles from the same vilage. After two months he was in an accident /an elephant picked him up and threw him on the ground/. After some time he told his friend he was away from Rome, somewhere where noone would find him. That is the story accoirndg to Wojciech's friend. The family does not believe in it. The parents think someone hurt him. If he could he would contact his mother and sisters, as they claim.
Łukasz Boniecki case solved
Lukasz went to see his friends. They split up around 1 in the morning near the so-called Gorka HArcerska on the shore of the Odra river.
Małgorzata Boushaki
Malgorzata left for work at 5.30. She has never reached the bus stop which is 500 meters away from home. She has two children.

He left his home without any document nor money. He said he would be back in 15 minutes. His family thinks he was being blackmailed.
Joanna Brylowska
Joanna studied economics at the University of Gdansk. She was just about to leave for a yearly scholarship to Italy. On the day she disappeared she said to her parents she was going out to a disco. As it turned out later, she boarded a ferry to Sweden, and that is where she was seen last. She was allegedly seen in Sweden and Italy, but that information was not confirmed.
Bolesław Budzyński
Boleslaw went to London with his son in order to find work. He is retired and suffers from epilepsy. He did not take anything with him except for his ID. He also did not own a mobile and had no money. His son returned home after a few days, and told his family he left his father at a station in London, as there were no seats on the bus to Poland.
Lech Błaszczyk
Lech lived alone, but often visited his sister for lunch. when he did not show up she went to his apartment. All his house plants were dried, his bed was not made and it looked as if he had left only for a moment.

Stanislaw lived alone, and had a drinking problem. He spent his days hanging out with his friends in front of a localshop. That is where he was seen last around midday.

Stefania fainted on the street and was taken to a hospital in Biała Podlaska. Onve she had her head stiched up she left the ER department and disappeared.

Aleksander left Ukraine and came to Poland in 1998. He was working on the teritorry of province of Lubelskie building headstones. In 2002 his mother received a message that her son's passport was found, but nobody knows what happened to Aleksander.
Tomasz Cichowicz
Tomek was playing with his friends near his house. He was looked after by his father, while his mother was at work. When she came back home, her son was gone. In spite of intensive search he was not found. His parents and brother believe that Tomek is alive and that he will come back home.
Magdalena Ciesek
Magda contacted her sister in Lodz for the last time on April 8. She iformed her that together with her Russian friend she was going to the USA to work as a waitress. Most probably in 2002 she was in Toronto /she personally picked up her driver's license/, but she did not contact her husband, little daugher or father who lives there. According to the police and a private detective, she bever crossed the border with Canada officialy and she did not show up for her driver's test after 4 years. She has not contacted her beloved father. The family thinks that Magda found some bad company she met while working in bars.
Jerzy Cyranowicz
Jerzy was supposed to visit his brother in Mlawa. He took the train. He reached Warsaw, his phone registered activity near the Old Town. In his last phone conversation with his brother he said he had problems with his leg. His family has not heard from him since.
Rafał Czarnota
A few days before his disapeparance, Rafal came from Olsztyn to Stawiguda, where his father runs a tyre repair shop. During his stay he helped his father in the shop, did some gardening, and often went on bicycle rides in the countryside. On the day of his disappearance he went on a trip towards the Lansk forests. When he did not returned after a few hours, the search commenced, but to no vein.
Alicja Dankowska
Alicja left home early in the morning. She was seen on a bus from Burzenin to Sieradz at 9.30. She most probably got off the bus in Sieradz on Targowa Street and she could have gone to the local market. A woman who had seen her claims she was in good health and had a pleasant conversation. In spite of a wide search she has not been seen since then.
Mirosław Dobrowolski
When he left the house, Miroslaw said he was going to the store. He has been retired for a few years now, and spent most of his time at home. He was not sick, and the family claims he had no problems.

Paweł had an accident while at work five years ago. After 12 months his doctors ddecided that he was capable of coming back to work, but he had problems with finding a new job. His main hobby was bulding minature planes. He left the house after an argument with his mother. He recently suffered from depression.

Zbigniew left the house around 11 in the morning, as he was meeting a friend. He never got there.
Wanda Dupel z d.Gaweł
Wanda left her family /four children in the age from 11 to 17/ on the night of June 22, 1991. The reason of her disappearance were family and work problems. The children were raised by the grandmother and the father. Until 2000, Wanda did not contact her family. In 2001, the family received a latter from a lawyer who summoned Wanda Gawel /she uses her maiden name under which she is registered in the viallge of Munin near Jaroslaw/ to pay the fine for travelling on the city transport in Czestchowa without a valid ticket. Next year the family recieved information from the Local Emergency Unit in Czestochowa requesting Wanda's NIP or PESEL number. The daughter asked from more information on the mother and she was told that Wanda was treated for burns on her arm. Unfortunately, the mother's current address could not been established. The daughter is hoping to contact her mother thanks to the show.
Bronisław Durczyński
Bronislaw was on holidays in the village of Wilcze near Wolsztyn. he went for a walk with his dog at 6 in the morning. Around 8 he was seen in the village of Obra Dolna where he asked for directions. It is said he followed the road in the right direction, but he never reached his holiday hostel. In spite of an intensive search, he was not found.
Józef Dziedzic
Janusz is retired and he suffers from diabetes. Recently he has been living on his own, and his mother came to see him on the day of his disappearance. She found the entrance door open, the light on the washing was soaking in the bathroom, but nobody knows what happened to Janusz.
Agnieszka Dziewięcka
Agnieszka was a single mum. On the day of her disapperance, she took her child to pre-school, but did not show up for work. Her friends informed her mother.
Andrzej Felczak
Andrzej often went to France for work, but he always stayed in touch with his family and life partner. In March 2002 his partner died, and Andrzej was informed about it by a telegram. When he was leaving for the funeral, his friends took him to the bus station. He has not reached Poland, and no one knows about his whereabouts.
Edmund Ferlas case solved
Edward was in a good physicall condition. He did shopping in near by shop, went to the cemetary at noon, and he would return home at around 2 pm. When he did not show up for lunch his wife started looking for him. After a few hours she informed the police.
Teresa Firlit
Teresa was last seen at 2 pm in the area of Klikowska in Tarnow. She was wearing a green jacket and a beret with a beighe skirt. she might have lost her memory.
Sławomir Tomasz Firuta
Slawek is a drug addict. His parents tried everything to stop him from taking drugs, but he kepst escaping from the rehabs, he stole from his parents, he then starting stealing outside of the house, and he was caught. Aftre six months, his father pulled him out of priseon. Slawek was to return to prison after a while. He started taking drugs again, and run away to Warsaw with his friends. He was stopped by the police on the Warsaw Central Train Station, but he was released. Nobody knows what he did after that. His parents have got no news about his whereabouts. He was not stopped by the police since.
Andrzej Fituch case solved
Andrzej left for Cyprus in 2004. In November the same year, his sister received a letter from him in which he said he found a job, rented a flat and that he was coming back to Poland. He called on New Year's Eve and then the contact stopped. Apparently he was staying in Larknaka, but the letters sent to him by his mother were returned. Nobody knows where Andrzej is now.
Jerzy Fiuk
Jerzy left home in the morning. He told his family he was going for a medical check-up to Lublin, but he never got there. Some people next daye say he was seen the next day in the next village on a bus stop, but he didn't come home and he hasn't contacted his family.
Krzysztof Ganczar
Krzysztof has been living in a Social Home in Rokitno for the past three years. He was last seen in the village of Przytoczna around 4 pm while raking leaves around the church. In spite of immediate search he was not found. He has problems hearing and does not speak much as he is mentally disabled. He smokes a lot of cigarettes.
Anna Gawęda
Anna has been diagnosed with the Alzheimer\'s disease. She was suffering from memory loss, but she functioned well. She had no support from her husband who didn\'t know how to handle her.
Krzysztof Gieronis
Krzysztof left for Italy for work together with his wife. After a while he seperated from his wife, he lost his job and was living with the homeless. In spite of his wife's requests he did not return to Poland with his wife. The family does not understand why he chose to be homeless. Nobody had heard from him for three years.
Małgorzata Gillner
Malgorzata, in the months before her disappearance, was going through a difficult patch. She was worried about her work / she worked as a teacher in a pre-school for mentally handicapped children/, .e.g. she was taking badly the effort put into the classes, improper parents reaction /she thought the parents blamed her for children's bad behaviour, etc. During the last teachers' meeting, she said she would leave work as of January. When asked what she would do, she said she would sell carrots. Just recently, the family received information about Malgorzata being seen in the area of the train station in Gliwice accompanied by a man. The police prepared a schetch portrait based on witnesses' testimonies.
Krystyna Ginglas
Krystyna lived on her own. In spite of her Parkinson's disease, and serious brain demage, she did not agree to be placed in a Nursing Home. On the day opf her disapperance she cam to visit her youngest daughter, who was at work at that time. She spoke to her son in law who invited her inside and insisted on her waiting for her daughter. She refused, and she was seen by her son in law while walking to a tram spot. She has not returned home ans she has not contacted her family since. The search brought no results.
Maciej Gorączko
Maciej did not work and was on a pension due to health reasons. He lived with his parents who were also very sick. He would read a lot, listen to music and went for walks with his dog. One day he left home with a small bag and disappeared.
Józef Góralski
Jozef lived alone since his mother's death. His sister was told by his neighbours about his disappearance. He is retired with his own small business trading spare car parts.
Wirginia Grochowska
Wirginia lived alone in Sosowiec Maczki. Recently, she often wandered away from home, walked around the neighbourhood, used to sit in the area of the train station, walked around the near- by forests. She mentioned she wanted to go to Munich to visit a restaurant where she worked duirng the war. He daughter organised for her to eat lunches at the nearest school, she also visited her mother once a week and brought her shopping, cooked and cleaned. In spite of all that, the woman often walked around the neighbours and asked for food. She was last seen in the area of Maczki, on the cargo and goods train station as she was crossing the train tracks. Neither the family or the police know where she went and where she is now.
Józef Grudziński
Josef retired in 1989, but in 1996 he was diagnosed with the Parkinson's diseas. His condition was getting worse, but his medicine allowed him to function well. On July 24 this year he went out for a stroll in the early afternoon, but soon after he left the house his family notowariced his disaperance. They started looking in the near-by are /railway station, tram and bus stops, railway tracks of the Julisz coal milne. He was nowhere to be found. The ralway track personnel saw Josef going towards the house, and one of the survaillance camera installed in the area recorded Josef. The search has brought no result so far, and Josef cannot fucntion properly without his medication.

Dorota worked at the local market. She did not come back from work. She had asked a friend if she could spend the night at her place.
Adam Grześkiewicz
Adam escaped from the Psychiatric Hospital on Sobieskiego Street in Warsaw, he had no money or documents. He needs immediate care.

Jan left home early in the morning. Most probably he intended to go to the market in Bedzin. He occassionaly suffered from memory loss.
Paweł Mirosław Głogowski
Pawel left his house in the morning to organize some paperwork relating to his new job. He was last seen on a bus stop on Kollataja Street in Bedzin.
Damian Hoffa
Damian was brought to the General Hospital on Juraszow Street in Poznan by an ambulance around 16,00.
According to the ER staff, he becam agressive around 22,00, he would not reveal his family address, and he left the hospital angry.
Józef Ignasiak
In the early hours of the morning, Jozef went berry picking to the nearest forest without informing the brother he lived with. he didn't return home in the evening and the search began. While looking for Jozef, his brother found out that he was in front of the shop before noon, and then walked to the next village, where he enetreed a small farm, asked for water and offered his help in putting up a fence. Jozef's bahaviour was strange to the residence and after a short conversation they let him go. At the end of the day he was seen by the wife of the village chairman from Osolin on the road to Wolowo, about twenty kilometers from the village he lived in. Jozef has not contacted his family since. His body has never been found. During filming of the programme in the forest where Jozef most probably was, a plastic bag was found together with cups and a jar he took with him when he went berry picking.
Zbigniew Iskra
Zbigniew and his wife had a fruit and veggie stall, and on the day of disapperance he was celebrating his friends name's day there. He spoke to his wife around 15.00. A few minutes after 21.00, Zbigniew's son went to pick him up from the market, but he couldn't find him. He found out that he was seen walking towards the car park. Earlier he slept on a bench near the bar. His hat was later found there. Zbigniew's brother heard that he was picked up by a brown Polonez, but no one has seen him or heard from him since.
Beata Jacukiewicz
Beata decided to work overseas due to financial reasons. She was having problems with paying off loans, and she was also supporting three children, so both her and her husband started looking for employment overseas, and they found an add for fruit and vegetable picking in Italy. The husband passed on the offer. The children were given to the grandparents, Beata's parents. Her son and husband took her to the station in Jaworzyna Slaska from where she went to Kielce and from there she was to take a coach of an unknown company to Italy. she contacted her children and husband in the first weeks of her stay in Italy /she left at the end of February last year/. Her last phone call was to her work collegue asking her to extend her holiday leave. When she found out that it was impossible she stopped calling her family and friends. According to Beata's husband she most probably called her brother on Christmas Eve last year. The children are missing her mother, especially the youngest son. Her husband says she probably decided to stay in Italy while her parents are saying that something bad must have happened to her.
Paweł Jagielski
Pawel had been dreaming about going overseas to work for a long time. His parents first thought that he should first finish his studies. Nobody really thought that he would leave, nevertheless, Pawel was getting ready for such trip. None of the relatives knew about it or noticed it. His family cannot understand why he is not making any contact with them.
Leszek Marian Janowski
Leszek, due to his illness, was on a long-term sick leave. He often visited doctors and took various medication to which his body did not always react well. He left in the middle of the night, unnoticed. After a few days it turned out that he was seen in the morning wearing only pijamas and slippers walking ono the streets towards Poznan. It was below 10 degrees. In spite of a wide search he was not seen.
Daniel Jansson
Daniel is a citizen of Sweden. He flew to Gdansk for two days. He has blue eyes, he is 193 cm tall, and he weighs 115 kg.
Mirosław Dawid Jasiński
Mirek had problems at home and at school. Recently he was abrupt and reserved. His parents thought he did not like school (post office clerk). He was not accepted in his class and his new hair style, dread locks was laughed at. A few days before his disappearance he cleared the hard disc of his computer. he was last seen at the market square in Krosno around 18.00. Nobody has seen him since, and he did not establish contact with his family.

Pawel disappeared in Dabki (province of Zachodniopomorskie). His belongings were found on a beach.
Helena Jończyk
Helena suffers from the Altzhaimer's disease. She lived alone. On the day she disappeared, she went for a walk with her dog, and she never returned home. In spite of an intensive search she was not found. Her dog was found in a local pound after a week.
Maciej Grzegorz Jurewicz
Maciej was depressed when his life partner left him with their two children, as well as due to an accident he had at work (machine cut off the fingers of his lfet hand), and he could not find work. He did not want to return to his previous work, as they claimed the accident was his fault. On the day of his disapperance he packed his bags and left the house without saying a word. After w few weeks someone who was mushroom picking found his bag in the forest together with his documents. He has not contacted his family since.
Marek Jurewicz
Marek left home to visit his girlfriend. Two days later he called his mother and told her he would be back in the morning. That was the last contact.

Mieczyslaw left for work in the morning . He was late for his tram and he was picked up by a random car. He never reached work. He was wandering around the village of Igolomia ( several kilometers from Nowa Huta), and nobody seen him since. He has been having some health problems recently.

Grzegorz left for Italy in 2003. He worked in Rome in a construction company. He then had worked at the railway station in rome for six months, and left for Bari. He has not contacted his family since.

Marcin left home without anything. He did not saying anything about where he was going.

Beata worked in Warsaw. She left her work after 12, and she was meeting a friend at 15.00. She never made it to the meeting. Her phone was last used in Radzymin, and has been turned off since.

Justna is a student of the Agricultural Academy in Szczecin. While she was leaving home she told her mother she was going to school and that she would be back in two days, but she never reached school and no one has seen her since.
Zofia Karolewicz
Zofia had problems with walking. She loved the forest, but she had not visited one for five years, as her family told her not to go alone, and nobody had time to accompany her. At the beginning of October everyone was talking about mushroom picking, and as it was Zofia's passion she decided to go to the forest alone. A Czaplinek citizen met her in the forest and asked for directions. Nobody knows where she went and which road she chose. wide search brought no result.
Grzegorz Kędziński
Grzegorz has been suffering from epilepsy for many years. Due to his reoccuring attacks he received a pension for the time of one year. After that time, he was presumed healthy and ready for work. He could not find work in Walbrzych, and in November 2003 he found work in the Scoda factory in Ostrava. At the end of 2004 he was released due to his attacks. After a short stay in a hospital, he came back to his hotel and wanted to go home, but he never did.
Małgorzata Klechniowska
Malgorzata was last seen in her flat in Gdynia by her neighbour, who visited her around 11 that day. The neighbour claims that Malgorzata was packing bags due to her family travelling to visit her sister for the weekend in the country. Nobody has seen Malgorzata since then, and her 7-year-old daughter and husband remained at home. The next day, the husband took the daughetr to her auntie in the country, and left for a weeks long sea journey. Malgorzata's disappearance was reported by her sister who lives over 250km from Gdynia. In spite of all the family efforts to find her, no traces have been found.
Małgorzata Klechniowska
Accoriding to her sister and neighbour, Malgorzata took her daughter to school that morning. When she came back back, she stayed at home until early afternoon. her husband claims that around 14.30 she went to see her neighbour ( one floor down). The neighbour claims that she could not have come to see her, as she was out for a walk with her mother in Sopot. Nobody Malgorzata that day. The daughter was picked up from school by her father. Around 18.30 the husband started looking for his wife by first talking to the naighbour. two days later he dropped the daughter off at his wife's sister's place near Lomza, and went on a sea journey. Malgorzata's disappearance was reported by her sister. She has no possibility of talking to her husband as he is away at sea.
Rafał Kopczyński
Rafal was an inmate at a juvenile detention in Laskowiec, from which he was release on a Christmas pass. After Christmas he went to visit his friend in Warsaw who claims that after a week's stay at her place, Rafal got on a bus to Mragowo. He has not contacted his family since, neither has he contacted the detention center.
Albert Kowalczyk
The boy did not come back to his mother after spending time with his father whose custody is limited. The father sent a text message to the mother informing the mother that he is taking him and he will now look after him. Family Court in Poland decided to search for the father and did not allow the boy to leave Poland. The mother found out that the father took the boy to Dominicana. Nobody knows where he is now.
Karolina Matylda Kowalewska
Matylda was kidnapped by her mother from her pre-school in the village of Mikorzyn near Kepno. Most probably the mother and child left the country on a false passport. The custody was officialy given to the father by the Court in Kepno.
Lilianna Kownacka
Liliana took her daughters to the house of their father as she did every weekend. She was supposed to stay there till Sunday. The children\'s father claims she left his place on a Sunday evening to visit her friends and did not come back. The family does not believe she would leave her children behind as she was emotionally attached to them.

On the evening of his disaperance Maciej went to his friend's birthday party. His friends claim that he left the party soon after 10 pm. Allegedly someone saw him walking on the side of the road talking on his mobile. he has never reached home. Search commenced by the police and his family brought no results. he is 175 cm tall, short hair and green eyes.

She left the house without taking personal belongings. The probable cause of her disappearance were conflicts with the family.
Damian Kranc
He left his house around noon. He said he was going out for a while and that he would be back for lunch. He has no documents.
Stanisław Kraśniewski
In the last few months, Stanslaw had been supervising renovations in his daughter's new flat, and they both had a few arguments about it. He felt extremely responsible for the works. He reacted with agression to each mistake the workers had made and his daughter's attitude to the matter. He was often very disheartened about the political situation in Poland. His daughter and wife think he left the family on purpose. He did not get sick and never left his home without family knowing about it. The family and the police search was not successful.
Czesław Krawczyk
The day before his disappearance, Czeslaw fell over in his bathroom and hit his head and fainted. His wife called the paramedics, but Czeslaw refused to go the the hospital. After a few hours CZeslaw did not remember his accident and the paramedics. The next day he went for a walk to the near-by park and disappeared.
Stanisław Krawczyk
Stanislaw left Malomice for Warsaw to look for work. He regularly contacted his family, sent money and occassionaly visited his parents in Szprotawa. Last time he called his mother he asked for money as his employed stopped paying. His mother informed him that his wife had filed for divorce. he stopped calling, and his family does not know his contact number nor his address.

Zygmunt suffers from the Altzheimer's disease. He was carrying his ID and a telephone number for his family on him.

Jerzy suffers from memory loss. He left home dressed in sports trousers and a checked shirt. The search brought no result.
Janina Krysik
Janina was going through a difficult time in her life. While working for "Provident", she was used by her boss /together with 60 other people from villages and towns near-by/ by taking out a loan for him on her name, which he did not pay. Then, to help the financial situation at home / she was not working, and her husband lost a wll pad job/ she would take out small loans in banks. She forced her parents to give her loans, which she didn't pay. Her husband found out about it, and demanded her to stop and pay off her debts. On February 24 she informed her mother she was going into Pajeczna to put in her tax declaration, and then she was to go to Czestochowa to visit a friend and she was to come back home in the evening. The youngest son stayed with her mother. Nobody has seen her since, and the whole family wants her back.
Adam Krzyszpin
Adam had been living and worked in Scotland in Aberdeen. He was a keen fisherman. On Janury 10 he took his girl to work early in the morning, while he went fishing. When he did not come home, the search commenced. After a few days his car was found without any fishing equipment. He has not been found since.

He left the hospital in Bartoszyce upon his free will, leaving all his documents behind.

Jolanta lived on his own. she worked as a babysitter. On the day of her disappearance, she did not reach work in the morning and her employer could not contact her. Police were informed, but the search brought no results.

According to his siblings, Boleslaw was employed in the coal mines of Slask, and his recent job included the coal mine in Knorow Szczakow, where he was serving his military service. He lived in the workers' hostel, and his younger brother in the Coal Miner's House near-by. On the night of May 16, 1967, Boleslaw came to see his brother beaten up by, as he claimed, by the ORMO forces. His brother advised him to see the head coal miner on the night shift and asked him to work in the baths. As it turned out later, he never got to work. He also did not return to the hotel. He has not been seen since, neither has he been employed on the teritorry of Slask. In spite of the many years which passed, his family wants to know what happened to Boleslaw.

After a few days it was established that Radoslaw had never left for Germany. he left his house at 5 in the morning after an argument with his wife. The argument was caused by his wife admitting that he was not the father of their second child.

The school bus driver claims that Marek got out of the bus near the school and walked towards the bank where he was to pick up the housing benefit given to him by the local government. He never picked up the money. It is not possible to say if he reached the bank as the camera was broke that day. His sister and her husband claim that Marek's disapperance is related to him being beaten up by the neighbour twice. The residents fo the house Marek lived in do not want to comment his disapperance, and they say they know nothing.

Marzena\\\\\\\'s mother talked to her for the last time on August 13 lat year. Marzena told her that she was catching a train to Elk, but she could not give more details and continue the phone conversation. After several days, Marzena\\\\\\\'s family received a letter from her husband / who then was in prison/ with the order to inform the police that Marzena is in great danger. She was supposed to come and see him on August 12, but she did not show up.
As of August 13, her family had not contact with their daughter who, until then, kept regular ocntact with her family.

Due to a difficult financial situation, and upon his wife's request, Bogdan went to Chicago, USA, to earn money to pay off loans they had. He kept senidng letters for the first three months, as well as parcels and money. He used call regularly until the day he wrote that he was getting married as he found the right woman. The family and the children are not outraged by the fact that he was getting married but by the fact the whole case was organized /divorce finalised without his presence, no alimony for the children and the wife who has never worked/. As of December 2004, Bogdan stopped conacting his Polsih family and he is not answering any letters. None of the Polish organizations are able to help the family.

After a while, he contacted his mother from Greece, and called her occassionaly. He then found himself in Italy, and contacted his mother and sister, but he never gave them his address or telephone number. He claimed it would be better for them not to know. On March 11, 2005 Sebastian called his mother from a phone booth. It was his last contact with his loved ones. a few weeks after the conversation, a young woman informed Sebastian's mother that he was dead and nobody knows where he was buried.
Polish Consule in Italy claims that Sebastian was never arrested and he is not on the criminals' list. We are counting on contacting the woman who called Sebastian's mother in April 2005.

Joanna left around 21.00 to see her friend who lived in the next apartment block. She was to saw a cover for a children's walker and then to return home. Unfortunatley, she never came back. Joanna was a single mother of a daughter, and her parents are certain she would never leave her beloved child.

Marek went to work near Warsaw. The family knows he worked on building sites in Pruszkow and Brwinow. He lived a workers' hostel.

Bogumiła left for Spain to work. she worked on a plantation in the village of Palos de la Frontera. She called home for the last time on march 21, 2006.
